You choose people you will interact with on daily basis. When you meet new people there are various factors that affect your opinion on them. The way they behave, the way they interact, if someone told you something about them, and their energy. Sometimes you meet a new person through a friend who told you all good things about the new person, yet you don’t feel the connection or feel something off about them.

“Why on earth is the bride paying for this kind of behavior?”

Well, when choosing a wedding planner, it’s the same. Someone can recommend them, you may find them online and read all best comments about them, but when you meet them, nothing. No spark! And when there is no spark, you will not get along the best. Because remember, this is the person you will be in contact with the most, you will exchange so many messages, talk for hours and on the D day, you will need her/them to be on your good side. I will never forget, while working for my former employer we had to organize a transfer of this wedding party from one place to another, and the wedding planner was with the party. Everyone was taking their time, acting goofy and jolly, until she came and rushed everyone in to the boat with her high-pitched voice, including bride and the groom. I was shocked, standing there helping people get on the boat as soon as possible. She was very strict and loud. I thought to myself: “Why on earth is the bride paying for this kind of behavior?” But then when we docked at the wedding location, and the guests started going out, the bride came to the wedding planner and hugged her saying: “I am so happy that you did this for us!” And then I realized, it doesn’t matter what I think, the bride had everything she needed in this planner and was confident that everything would go as planned. The energies got along perfectly!

So, in the end of the day, go with your gut feeling, like with every relationship that you have in life, and of course, enjoy your day!
